The Problem: A Finitely Computable Universe
Recognition Physics demonstrates that the universe is a finite, computationally complete system. While vast, it is not infinite. This finiteness imposes a fundamental constraint: the universe cannot perfectly model itself from within, as this would require a system to contain a complete representation of itself, leading to an infinite regress (a problem similar to Gödel's incompleteness theorems).

The experience of seeing red is what it feels like for a local system to model its own state of "seeing red." Qualia are the texture of the universe's self-modeling process.
